1976 Montesa Cota 348

This is a 1976 Montesa Cota 348 trials bike. This is a bike I took in trade on a modern trials bike I had for sale at the shop. I should have taken photos of the core as it was in pretty rough shape and did not look like this. The frame has had a footpeg modification, been repainted, the tank and seat unit have been repainted, aftermarket front and rear fenders. It has a mikuni carb update, renthal bars, all new controls and cables, radial tires, and an aftermarket silencer that was on the bike. After countless hours of cleaning, painting and detail work, here is the bike. As far as the motor on this bike it ran perfectly, shifted great and as usual the Montesa quality made this a great bike, we have pulled the top end just to check, the piston was still in new spec! after 28yrs, not bad is it? Put in some fresh rings and gasket and it runs like a top. It was purchased last year by Craig Robbins of Mass, and has competed at a few vintage events, and done very well.
